WHAT IS HUNCH?
Hunch is an app for seeing how accurate your ‘Hunches’ or predictions are for your favourite sports. Every day you can make your picks and Hunch will compile them, adding them to a world-wide leaderboard for you to compete with your friends, co-workers or anyone else. And best of all - The winner of each week’s leaderboard wins real cash prizing (or more)!
HOW DO I PLAY?
Start by selecting with categories you would like to play. Next head to the Hunches page of your app to see all the games scheduled for that day or for tomorrow. Select the team you have a hunch is going to win. The team’s banner will highlight showing it’s been saved. Keep checking back to see the score and your correct picks throughout the day.
HOW DOES THE LEADERBOARD WORK?
The leaderboard is where you find the best (or the worst) players on Hunch. Everyone who uses Hunch has their record published on the Leaderboard.
Correctly selected Hunches are recorded as a Win, while incorrect picks are recorded as Losses.
Your personal record is kept up-to-date on your Profile page.
HOW DO I WIN MONEY?
Cash prizes are provided to the winner, or winners, of the weekly public leaderboard for any category which had at least 10 games that week during the regular season. The winner of each week is the person who had the most correct ‘Wins’ that week. For the playoffs, the contest will run throughout the entirety of the playoff season, rather than weekly. In cases where multiple people had the same number of ‘Wins’, the tie-breaker is the person with the higher ‘Hunch Percentage’. If there are still multiple winners, they will split that week’s cash prize equally. Prizing is paid in US dollars.

HOW DO I COLLECT MY WINNINGS?
To take out your winnings, go to your Profile page. You can either tap the Earnings number on your Profile, or select the Gear icon in the top right corner and then select ‘Earnings’. On your Earning page, you will see your Total Earnings and Available Balance. You can withdraw your Available Balance by clicking on the ‘Request Payout’ button. Hunch will pay the entirety of your Available Balance within 1-3 Business Days, to your PayPal Account. You must have a PayPal Account to withdraw your winnings from Hunch. There is a $10 minimum amount to withdraw your winnings.
There may be times when Hunch provides non-cash prizes. In these cases, winners will be contacted for shipping and order details.
HOW CAN I CREATE MY OWN Group or PooL?
Creating your own Group for your friends, your office or for any other group is simple.
Select the Group button at the bottom of the screen. Select the Create Group button or the + icon in the top corner. Input the details of the Group (Name, Image & Rules for the Group)
HOW DO I INVITE PEOPLE TO JOIN MY PRIVATE POOL?
From your Group Screen, select the ‘Add People’ icon in the top right corner.
There are three ways to add new members:
Search by their Hunch Username
Copy the Token and send it to an existing Hunch User. They can search using their Search Token.
Copy the ‘Shareable URL’ and send it to people who aren’t playing Hunch yet. They will be added to the Group automatically after joining Hunch.
CAN I WIN MONEY IN A Group?
No, winners of a Groups are not included in the Hunch cash prizing.
HOW DO I LEAVE A Group?
From the Group page, tap the icon in the top right corner that looks like a head with an ‘X’ beside it.
How do I remove someone from my Group?
From the Group page, tap any member’s name. You will be given an option to remove this member.
HOW DO I SEE PAST SEASONS?
You can see a past season by tapping the ‘Two head’ icon in the top left corner. Then select the top drop-down option - it will provide you with a list of all the previous seasons for that particular category.
IS HUNCH A BETTING OR GAMBLING APP?
Nope. There is no gambling component to Hunch.
CAN I CHANGE MY HUNCHES AFTER THEY’VE BEEN SAVED?
Yes, you can as long as the game hasn’t started. You can change your Hunch right up until the game has started. Once a game has begun, you will see the box score beneath the team match-up and your pick is now locked in.
How do I know which team is the Home Team?
The home team is always listed on the right side of the match-up.
IS THERE INFORMATION ON EACH GAME, LIKE STATISTICS, HISTORY, ETC?
Yes there is. Tap the down arrow between the team names to reveal each team’s statistics and game history.
HOW CAN I REPORT INAPPROPRIATE USERNAMES OR AVATARS?
There is a reporting system available to anyone on Hunch. By clicking on the name of anyone on a Leaderboard, you can then report them to Hunch’s administrators for further review.
